The forecast provides a scenario-based five-year outlook for adoption of business IoT in key areas. Initially we are focusing on smart buildings in Europe, examining the drivers and barriers, the linkages between technology adoption and refurbishment cycles in buildings and the differences in adoption patterns between major countries. We will be adding forecasts of other segments and countries during the coming months.

Forecasts are delivered in Excel with supporting presentation material. The supporting document discusses the main assumptions, market developments that have led to any significant changes in the assumptions and subsequently the forecast, principal findings and conclusions, and major risks to the forecast.

On request we can provide further elements of our model and assumptions.

The forecast is revised and published once a year, although disruptive changes in the market might prompt unscheduled updates.
