Shaun Collins (CEO). Shaun founded CCS Insight in 1993, and he and his team have built the business into one of the foremost digital market analysts in the world. Earlier in his career, Shaun was the European account director for Motorola at a time when it led the European market, and he has specialised in analysing the operator markets and wireless equipment business. He has held a number of senior sales and service roles in the digital markets in the UK, Europe and the US. CCS Insight has achieved rapid and sustained growth under Shaun's leadership, becoming one of the leading global digital market analysts. CCS Insight offers analysis into various market sectors, telecom operators, artificial intelligence, digital workplace, 5G and others.

Shaun was recently appointed Chair of Judges for the wireless industry trade body GSMA's annual Global Mobile Awards (or GLOMOs) for the period of 2018 to 2021. He has also been a judge for the KPMG Mobile Start-Up of the Year awards for the Midlands region in the UK. He can regularly be seen interviewing and moderating discussions with many of the world digital leaders and CEOs, and is often quoted in various outlets including the BBC, CNBC, the Financial Times, Reuters and others.


Michael Walker (chairman). Michael is an entrepreneur with considerable experience of leading acquisitions, company restructuring, and start-ups in the wireless, telecoms and electronics industries, including IPOs in the UK and Hong Kong. He has experience in all major world markets, particularly Europe, India and the Asia/Pacific region. He was managing director of Bush Radio and vice president of Champion Technology Holdings, a global telecommunications company, where he was responsible for 51 countries. Michael also has extensive experience of the leisure and entertainment industries.


Ben Wood (chief of research). Ben joined CCS Insight in May 2006. He oversees all research areas at the company while delivering analysis on smart devices including mobile phones and connected home products. He has over 20 years' experience in the mobile sector, including research vice president for mobile devices at Gartner, where he led a global team of analysts. Prior to that he was a director of Mobile Streams, and has held positions at Lucent Technologies and Vodafone, involved in launching SMS and mobile data. Ben is frequently quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Business Week. He regularly appears on the BBC, Bloomberg TV and others.


Martin Garner (senior vice president). Martin holds a BSc in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Bristol and an MBA from City University in London. He was at Ovum for 17 years, where he built up the mobile practice, was director of research and established the Wireless Intelligence joint venture with the GSM Association. At CCS Insight, Martin focuses on Internet agenda-setting companies, the services and experiences they offer, and the wider role of technology across various sectors of the economy, including machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity and the Internet of things.
