Shaun Collins


Shaun founded CCS Insight in 1993, and he and his team have built the business into one of the world’s best analyst houses. Earlier in his career, Shaun was European account director for Motorola when it led the European market, and he has held senior roles in digital markets in the UK, Europe and the US. Shaun was recently appointed Chair of Judges for the GSMA’s GLOMO awards until 2021. He has also been a judge for the KPMG Mobile Start-Up of the Year awards in the UK. He can regularly be seen interviewing and moderating discussions with global technology leaders and CEOs, and is often quoted in the media.

Michael Walker

Non-Executive Director

Michael is an entrepreneur with considerable experience of leading acquisitions, company restructuring and start-ups in the wireless, telecom and electronics industries, including IPOs in the UK and Hong Kong. He has experience in all major world markets, particularly Europe, India and the Asia-Pacific region. He was managing director of Bush Radio and vice president of Champion Technology Holdings, a global telecommunications company, where he was responsible for 51 countries. Michael also has extensive experience of the leisure and entertainment industries.

Ben Wood

Chief of Research

Ben joined CCS Insight in 2006. He oversees all research areas at the company, with a focus on smart devices including mobile phones and the smart home. He has over 20 years’ experience in the mobile sector, including a period as research vice president at Gartner, where he led a global team of analysts. Prior to that he was a director of Mobile Streams, and has held positions at Lucent Technologies and Vodafone, involved in launching SMS and mobile data. Ben is a notable industry figure, frequently quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Business Week, and regularly appearing on the BBC and other media outlets.

Martin Garner

Chief Operating Officer

Martin holds a BSc in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Bristol and an MBA from City University in London. He was at Ovum for 17 years, where he built up the mobile practice, was director of research and established the Wireless Intelligence joint venture with the GSMA. At CCS Insight, Martin leads research into Internet agenda-setting companies, the services and experiences they offer, and the wider role of technology in various sectors of the economy, including machine-to-machine connectivity and the Internet of things.

Geoff Blaber

Vice President Research, Americas

Geoff heads CCS Insight’s Americas business from our California office and supports the company’s wide range of clients located in North America. Geoff’s research focus spans a broad spectrum of technology and is designed to provide a holistic view of dynamics in areas including artificial intelligence, connectivity, the Internet of things, mobility and semiconductors. Geoff has more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry, is a well-known member of the analyst community and provides regular commentary to leading news organizations such as Reuters, the Financial Times and The Economist.

Paul Campbell

Chief Commercial Officer

Paul brings 10 years of practical telecom experience gained in the military and in industry, supporting major mobile networks. This period was followed by 10 years’ business leadership experience in big data and analytics, Internet marketing and consulting services, gained at two of the world’s largest business intelligence companies. In his previous roles he has delivered sales transformation and grown customer engagement and profits for several multimillion-dollar businesses.
