Nick McQuire Joins CCS Insight to Lead New Enterprise Research Service
For some time I’ve thought the enterprise market offers some of the most exciting opportunities in our industry today. The usually hectic consumer device market is going through a lull, waiting for the next big thing, but businesses are beginning to realize the potential offered by the combination of vast numbers of smart devices and high-speed mobile broadband.
These conditions offer enterprises of all sizes an unprecedented chance to re-invent and re-imagine themselves for customers and employees alike. The opportunities are almost unlimited.
But it’s also clear from our research that mobility and digital decisions for businesses are becoming more complex. The sheer speed of change is daunting for IT and communications specialists who only a few short years ago controlled the temperature of a room. At the same time mobile and Internet giants are gearing up to develop enterprise products and services on a scale we have not seen since we saw PCs emerge in the 1980s.
In the past two years, the CCS Insight research team has been asked to advise businesses and suppliers on what these changes mean to them. It is against this background that we are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas McQuire as Vice President, Enterprise at CCS Insight.
Nick joins us from the Global Enterprise Mobility Alliance (GEMA), where he oversaw its strategy, business development, financial performance and operations. Prior to that Nick was a vice president at IDC, where he led the firm’s enterprise mobility strategies practice in London.
I can honestly say that the enterprise market excites me as much as the early mobile market did. We can’t wait to have Nick working with our clients in this space. He’ll be outlining the details of the new Enterprise research service in the next week or so, but I wanted to take this opportunity to say welcome to Nick and how delighted we are he’s decided to join the CCS Insight team.
