New CEO Appointed
London, 10 February 2021: Marking a new chapter in the company’s history, CCS Insight has appointed Geoff Blaber as CEO to lead its ever-growing team and portfolio of services. Founded in 1993, CCS Insight has grown to be a multimillion-pound business with offices in London and California. Its global team of highly respected analysts provide insights and analysis to leading corporations around the world, including nine of the top 10 technology companies in the Fortune 500.
CCS Insight’s business has recorded strong growth over the past few years, with revenue regularly achieving 20% quarterly increases since 2018, and headcount rising 30% in the past 12 months as the company has continued to invest throughout the pandemic.
Shaun Collins, who founded the business in 1993, becomes Executive Chairman, and will continue to be actively involved with the company, supporting Geoff and the team. Commenting, Shaun Collins noted: “I’m proud of the tremendous progress we have made over the past three decades as the business has evolved from a small consultancy to an international research and advisory firm”. He continued, “I’ll remain actively involved in the business, working with our long-standing clients and supporting Geoff as he drives the business forward into new areas”.
Geoff Blaber recently returned to the UK after several years developing CCS Insight’s North American division in California. He will lead the company from CCS Insight’s offices in London.
Commenting, Geoff Blaber noted, “Leading CCS Insight is an exciting opportunity at a time when incisive analysis is more important than ever. I have a strong team and clear objectives to continue driving the business forward. As the company enters its next phase of growth, I’m proud to accept this new role”.
Geoff will be supported by the existing leadership team, comprising Ben Wood, who becomes Chief Analyst and CMO; Martin Garner, Chief Operating Officer; and Paul Campbell, Chief Commercial Officer. Michael Walker continues his role as a non-executive director.
Enterprise Division Strengthened
An essential element in future growth will be CCS Insight’s enterprise division. Recognising this, Nick McQuire has been appointed as Chief of Research, Enterprise. This division of the company was bolstered in 2019 when Creative Intellect Consulting became part of CCS Insight.
New Cost Benchmarking Service and Graduate Programme
CCS Insight continues to invest in other areas, most recently enhancing its connected devices research by adding a cost benchmarking and teardown analysis team, based in the US. Led by highly respected analyst Wayne Lam, the team has over 25 years of experience providing detailed cost and technical analysis of smartphones, wearables, network infrastructure equipment, automobiles and more. He and his team provide a valuable new service that will support existing and new clients.
CCS Insight recognises the importance of developing the next generation of analysts, and in 2020 created a formal graduate trainee scheme. It offers a comprehensive path for graduates to join the company and work in all areas of the business on a rotational basis. CCS Insight expects the programme to provide a strong stream of top talent to help meet growth expectations for 2021 and beyond.
