CCS Insight’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise Research, Nick McQuire, was once again shortlisted in the top five analysts globally for the Analyst of the Year award by the Institute of Industry Analyst Relations (IIAR). The other four shortlist members are all from Gartner and IDC. This year’s accolade follows Nick’s top-three ranking in 2019.
The Institute of Industry Analyst Relations (IIAR) is a not-for-profit member influencer relations association. Its Analyst of the Year award is the most coveted and longest-running award for industry analysts; it highlights experts who have consistently impressed in providing consistent value to the analyst relations community.
The appraisal is based on the IIAR’s best-practice paper, which looks to guide analyst relations professionals by considering factors such as perceived sales impact, strategic insights, resonance in the media and ease of doing business with. Analyst relations professionals from 10 countries voted to identify the top 90 analysts, 38 client partners and 43 analyst firms this year. Those surveyed also gave input on the value they see from analysts, as well as how they perceive industry analyst firms’ value to them as clients.
Commenting on the nomination, contributing IIAR judges stated, “I’ve never had a conversation with Nick where we didn’t learn something new or useful we could apply to our business, strategy or messaging”.
